The 1950s sitcom “The Honeymooners” was written around this entire idea: The allure of getting rich quickly. Most episodes revolve around the lead character Ralph Kramden’s poor financial choices – played by the legendary Jackie Gleason – in absurd dilemmas which frequently show his judgmental attitude in a comedic tone.
